He walked into my office with a proud smile — the smile of someone who believes he has finally cracked a lifelong puzzle.
“Sir,” he said confidently,
“I finally understood profit.
I bought 10 apples for ₹1,000.
Sold 8 apples for ₹1,600.
So my profit is... ₹600? Or ₹800?”
Then he leaned forward and whispered,
“Some days I feel like even apples are smarter than me.”
We both laughed.
